At Creative Pathways our approach is based on a rigorous individually tailored curriculum and interest based learning. We understand that all students learn differently and we work with each student to develop their own individual learning path. Parents are encouraged to help plan their child's academic path. We also incorporate blended learning into our curriculum .
Students learn best when they are actively involved in their education. Our curriculum is designed in such a way that we use both a spiral and mastery approach to learning. We strongly feel that topics need to be mastered before moving on, however they also must be reviewed from time to time.
We have a very eclectic way of teaching and do not use just one text book for every child. Our students are taught through a multitude of different learning philosophies and styles. This is done by incorporating daily hands on, auditory, visual lessons.
Preparatory School
In addition to students' education, CPPA teaches important lifestyle skills and values in the preparatory program. K-5th grade students all have their math and language arts curriculum tailored to them. Teachers are trained to be able to monitor each student working at different levels. Daily over site and tutoring is available.
6-12th grade students learn in a blended learning environment. Every students curriculum is tailored to meet their individual needs. We use a mix of online learning, teacher lead, hands on projects, group projects, labs, and field trips. Students get daily over site and tutoring on concepts they need help with. Students at this level have the opportunity to take advanced classes, AP courses, and dual enroll at Daytona State College.
